Who are the Royal Melbourne Hospital Foundation?

The Foundation provides financial support in areas of patient care, including the purchase of life-saving medical equipment, and ensuring we can continue our world-class research, finding cures and improved treatment for many of Australia’s biggest killers, including stroke, cancer and heart disease.

The Royal Melbourne Hospital Foundation is part of the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH), Victoria’s second largest public health service. RMH (ABN 73 802 706 972) is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) from 01 Jul 2000. It is covered by Item 1 of the table in section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.

The Royal Melbourne Hospital Foundation is governed by the RMH Board of Directors. The Board is responsible for overseeing the fundraising activities and legislative compliance of the Foundation.
