(PDF,400.71 KB)
The Young Adults Diabetes Service (YADS) is a multidisciplinary clinic that focuses on the care of 16-25 year-olds with type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
The clinic is staffed by Endocrinologists from both RMH and the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH), diabetes nurse educators and dietitians.
Pathology tests, finger prick HbA1c measurements, fundal photography and pathology services are available on clinic days.
Services such as pump starts and continuous glucose monitoring can be accessed through the clinic, and equipment such as blood glucose meters and insulin pens are provided free of charge
The clinic is friendly and relaxed, and we encourage the young people to take the opportunity to meet others with diabetes, as well as make full use of our staff and services.
