This introductory workshop equips participants with skills and knowledge to promote better outcomes for consumers with mental illness and substance use issues.

Commencing with context, attitudes and beliefs, the workshop promotes understanding of Dual Diagnosis and integrated treatment.

An overview of common psychoactive substances and their potential health impacts will assist in screening and assessment. Foundation skills for Brief Interventions will support and enhance consumer led behavioural change.
