A brief animated video with 10 simple steps patients can follow to stay safe during their stay in hospital has taken out the second prize at the Mayo Social Media in Healthcare Short Film Festival

What matters to you, matters to us is a resource for patients, consumers or carers, which encourages them to be involved in their own safety while in hospital. The video is clear and easily accessible and helps empower patients and their loved ones to take an active role in their wellbeing. What matters to you, matters to us also includes an accompanying brochure that is available online and throughout the hospital in our top six languages other than English.

The Mayo Social Media in Healthcare Short Film Festival recognises novel and innovative application of social media in healthcare with user-centred benefit. Two videos produced by The Royal Melbourne Hospital were shortlisted for the Festival.
