Dr Jordan Jones is a Neurosurgeon at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, a Neuro-oncology Research Fellow, Brain Cancer Centre at the WEHI, and a clinical honorary fellow in the Department of Surgery at the University of Melbourne.
Jones completed his PhD on circulating biomarkers in brain tumours which was supported by the Warren Haynes Fellowship, the Surgeon-Scientist Scholarship, the University of Melbourne Research Training Program Scholarship, and the Brain Foundation Research Grant.
He has published two book chapters and 19 peer-reviewed articles, including five based on his PhD research. He has presented research at four international conferences and numerous national events. He has been recognised with several prestigious awards, including the AANS/CNS Neuro-oncology Trainee Award in 2022—marking the first time this award was given to a non-North American researcher—and the Peter Leech Memorial Prize for the best scientific manuscript by a neurosurgery trainee.
In 2025, he will undertake a 12-month fellowship in skull base and neuro-oncology surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
