Joseph is a registered nurse working in tuberculosis (TB) prevention and care.

Joseph brings international nursing experience and a dynamic approach to the southeast of the state.

On a daily basis, Joseph is responsible for the collection of data, contact tracing and case management for people diagnosed with TB. This includes the provision of support to people with TB and treating doctors, with particular reference to the completion of treatment.

Joseph and colleagues are committed to preventing treatment interruptions, relapse and drug resistance. Particularly interested in the experience of migration, Joseph works to integrate TB services within the local government areas where new migrants are settling from some of the ‘hotspots of the world conflicts’.

Joseph has vast prior experience working in high TB incidence countries and is passionate about supporting and motivating patients, in collaboration with community organisations and government programs.

He contributes to the development of policies and guidelines related to TB, including operational research and training.
