The Royal Melbourne Hospital has a screening clinic set up specifically to test for COVID-19.

The Screening Clinic is open from 0700-2100hrs 7 days a week.

We will only test people that meet this criteria:

  • If you have a fever (more than 37.5 degrees Celsius) OR
  • acute respiratory symptoms (for example, shortness of breath or cough)

AND either:

You have travelled overseas in the past 14 days before the onset of symptoms

OR

You’ve had close or casual contact in the past 14 days before illness with a confirmed case of COVID-19

ADDITIONALLY, we will test you if you are:

  • a healthcare worker who has had clinical contact with patients as part of your role (including aged care staff)
  • a resident in a residential aged care facility who has a fever above 37.5 degrees Celsius AND acute respiratory symptoms.

The Screening Clinic can be accessed directly from our City Campus at 300 Grattan Street, between the entrances to the hospital and emergency department.
