Digsu is a clinical epidemiologist with strong biostatistical background. He completed his PhD in clinical epidemiology (diabetes) at Monash University in 2018. In his PhD, he explored the epidemiology of chronic kidney disease in people with diabetes. Previously he conducted research at the Institute of Public Health of the University of Gondar in Ethiopia for 6 years. Digsu had undergraduate degree in Public health and MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Gondar, Ethiopia.
Currently, he is working in the clinical and pharmaco-epidemiological research programme in the fields of metabolic diseases using large patient-level electronic medical records and administrative data.
