We conduct world-leading research with a focus on specific streams in psychiatry, psychology and neuroscience.
The Melbourne Neuropsychiatry Centre (MNC) is a joint centre of the RMH's Mental Health Services and the University of Melbourne's Department of Psychiatry.
We have a core research focus on understanding the neurobiology of psychiatric disorders, including:
- Psychosis and other neurodevelopment disorders
- Depression and anxiety
- Bipolar disorder
We also have a research focus on advanced brain network science.
MNC brings together clinical and research teams at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Sunshine Hospital, with a dedicated brain imaging archive and analysis laboratory at the University of Melbourne's Parkville location.
