The Royal Melbourne Hospital’s Dr David Fenn has been appointed to the board of the Victorian Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing.

Dr Fenn brings more than 30 years’ experience in public inpatient and community-based psychiatry, including leadership roles with the RMH’s mental health services. He is currently the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, and also Director of Quality and Reform for the RMH Mental Health Services. 

Associate Professor Bridget Hamilton, who has over 30 years’ experience as a registered nurse working as a mental health specialist practitioner, has also joined the Board of the Collaborative Centre. A/Prof Hamilton has been Director of the Centre for Mental Health Nursing at the University of Melbourne since 2016. 

The RMH and the University of Melbourne are the lead clinical and academic partners of the Collaborative Centre, established following the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System. It brings together people with lived experience, researchers, and health professionals to lead critical improvements in Victoria's mental health system.
