Anasina has spent many years working within the community sector with various communities of different cultures in the capacity of community engagement, community development and project management.

As a proud Polynesian woman of Samoan heritage, she is an impassioned member of Pacific Island community where she has strong footing.

She has founded Engage Pasefika, a grassroots community organisation to advance Pacific Health equity across generations after observing gaps in culturally responsive health services.

She is an advocate for intersectional health to advance diversity and cultural safety for underrepresented voices and shine a spotlight on the overlapping layers that interact to preclude equitable health access.

Anasina is a proponent for inclusive person-centred care and to bring visibility to communities hardly reached. The lens in which she views health caring is underpinned by her community values of warrior spirit, family, service, faith and equity.
