Anna Epifanio’s 10+ years of experience within mental health as a Carer Lived Experience, as well as her previous community and oncology-based roles, have been instrumental in developing knowledge, confidence and in furthering her leadership skills.

She has a strong conviction towards achieving equity of access and improving quality of life, particularly for individuals that have a mental illness as well as for their families/carers.

Anna has recently been appointed as Carer Lived Experience Manager at Inner West Mental Health Service and before that has held peer support worker and Carer Peer Support Coordinator/Consultant positions. She has also been a member of the Carer Lived Experience Workforce (CLEW) Leadership over the last 2.5 years and is passionate about progressing the specific training and support needs of the Carer workforce. 

Anna has also co-authored the paper ‘Carer Lived Experience Development and Implementation of Carer Peer Support Model into an Adult Clinical Mental Health Service: The Model, Challenges, Benefits and Learnings’.
