A qualified epidemiologist, Katie makes a significant contribution to understanding the movement of tuberculosis (TB) infection within the community.
Her research aims to improve our understanding of the epidemiology of TB to inform its clinical and programmatic management in Victoria.
Katie’s published work includes characterising Mycobacterium tuberculosis transmission in our setting; the risk of TB disease in the years after infection; the utility of genomic analyses; and the cost-effectiveness of screening approaches.
