Peter is a registered nurse with experience in acute and public health settings across Australia.
Peter uses practice- and evidence-based knowledge to provide day-to-day management of the Victorian Tuberculosis Program. This includes oversight and direction concerning tuberculosis (TB) case-finding through contact-tracing activity, especially with respect to large congregate settings.
Peter provides regular briefings to the Department of Health about TB public health response.
Active in providing education around the application and administration of PPD and interpretation of the Tuberculin skin test and care decision-making, Peter is a member of the Victorian TB Advisory Committee.
He works closely with the Royal Melbourne Hospital Pharmacy Department in providing TB medications to pharmacies throughout Victoria.
