Professor Andrew J Taylor is Director of Cardiology at the Royal Melbourne Hospital with dual Adjunct Professor appointments at Melbourne and Monash Universities.
After completion of his PhD, Prof Taylor developed a strong research interest in advanced cardiac imaging techniques and heart failure, which commenced with a year of post-doctoral Cardiac MRI research in Berlin, Germany.
Prof Taylor has supervised more than 20 postgraduate students, and he has been an invited speaker at numerous local and international cardiology meetings.
He has published widely in the highest-ranking cardiology journals including the European Heart Journal, Circulation and JACC, as well as in general journals such as The New England Journal of Medicine and JAMA.
