Please note that Faecal Pathogens Detection by PCR has replaced culture as the routine tesing method for the detection of enteric pathogens. MC&S is not routinely performed.
Indicate if recent history of travel overseas or antibiotics. Indicate if microscopy for ova, cysts or parasites needed.
Please specify in the clinical notes if culture is required for suspect Salmonella or Shigella carriage.
If investigation for parasites other than Cryptosporidium, Giardia, Entamaeba histolytica is required please indicate by ticking the parasite box.
