Notes

Standard Oestradiol (by Immunoassay) is the preferred test unless the patient falls into one of the following categories:

- Oestradiol <88 pmol/L and require a quantification

- Prepubertal children

- Male who require a quantification of low oestradiol

Serum or Lithium Heparin plasma from a gel tube is acceptable.
