Our newest site, the RMH Elizabeth St has been welcoming its first patients following the opening of a brand-new specialist clinics (outpatients) space last week.
The RMH Elizabeth Street is located just around the corner from the RMH Parkville main hospital building and has been completely fit out with modern purpose-built facilities.
Additional clinical spaces have also opened at the RMH Parkville over the last week, including freshly renovated consulting and procedure rooms.
Specialist Clinics Acting Clinical Manager, Victoria Vecchio said that the new specialist clinic facilities will help to support great care for patients.
“It’s exciting to be opening our doors to the RMH Elizabeth St, which will be the new home of several specialist clinics including Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology, Neuropsychiatry, Metabolic Diseases and Haematology,” Victoria said.
A variety of specialist clinics including Nephrology, Dermatology, VIDS, Respiratory and Urology have also been settling into their new spaces at the RMH Parkville.
“Co-locating specialities close to each other in clinics is a really positive thing for our staff and patients, particularly when patients have so many appointments all in one area,” Victoria said.
“There’s lots of other great additions with the new developments too, including the addition of dedicated procedure rooms in our clinic at the RMH Parkville.
“These rooms will be used for things like wound dressings and taking blood, in a comfortable and relaxed setting.”
