Dr Anoop Koshy is an interventional, structural cardiologist with advanced expertise in complex coronary and valvular heart disease.
He completed his general cardiology training at Eastern Health and Monash Heart in 2017, followed by four years of advanced subspecialty training in interventional and structural cardiology at Austin Health and the Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York.
Dr Koshy's clinical focus includes general and interventional cardiology, such as chest pain assessment, arrhythmias, coronary angioplasty, coronary calcium modification, and intravascular imaging. Additionally, Anoop also specialises in management of patients with aortic stenosis using keyhole Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge-Repair for mitral regurgitation using MitraClip and patent foramen ovale closure.
Dr Koshy is a dedicated medical researcher and recipient of a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Emerging Leadership Fellowship. He has authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in coronary and structural heart disease. In addition to his work in Melbourne, he leads an outreach cardiology service in South-West Victoria, based in Warrnambool.
