Associate Professor Gareth Wynn relocated to Australia in 2015 after completing Cardiology and Electrophysiology training in the UK and gaining a post-graduate Doctor of Medicine (Research) degree in Atrial Fibrillation Ablation at Imperial College London.

For his research he received the British Heart Rhythm Society’s Young Investigator Award.

Specialising in heart rhythm disorders, he is a European Heart Rhythm Association Certified Electrophysiology Specialist and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne.

Gareth leads Victoria and Tasmania’s pacemaker and defibrillator Lead Extraction service and is the highest-volume operator in Australasia. He chairs the Australia and New Zealand, and is a member of the Asia-Pacific, lead extraction specialist committees.
