Maria began her career as a Registered Nurse in the renal setting and has moved into various clinical, business and operational management roles across several Victorian health services.
Most recently she has been the Manager of the Renal Health Clinical Network, Victorian Department of Health where her clinical background and knowledge of the health services helped drive key projects to improve services for patients across the continuum of chronic kidney disease.
As the manager of Renal Services at the RMH, Maria is directly responsible for leading the effective management and operations of the Department of Nephrology and the RMH Kidney Care service.
The Manager ensures the service is integrated and aligned with the RMH from a strategic, operational, quality, change management and financial perspective. Fostering collaborative working relationships within the RMH Kidney Care service, and with other affiliated health services, Department of Health, key stakeholders, consumers and the community are an integral function of her role.
