Dr Matthew Brooks is a consultant and interventional cardiologist at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He completed his undergraduate medical degree at The University of Melbourne and advanced cardiology training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Dr Brooks subsequently undertook advanced fellowship training in structural heart disease intervention in Copenhagen and complex percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

His practice focuses on complex and high-risk coronary intervention and structural heart disease intervention including unprotected left main PCI, rotational atherectomy for heavily calcified coronary disease, chronic total occlusion intervention, TAVI, mitral and tricuspid edge to edge repair (TEER), left atrial appendage occlusion, ASD/PFO closure, and paravalvular leak closure.
