Samantha Plumb joined the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) Executive team in February 2022.
Samantha is the Chief Quality Officer at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Executive Director of the Parkville EMR, bringing more than 20 years' of healthcare leadership experience and a clinical background in physiotherapy.
Since joining the RMH in 2006, Samantha has held a range of senior roles including Manager of Physiotherapy, Chief of Staff, Director of Operations and General Manager of Surgical Services. She led the hospital’s $140 million Electronic Medical Record (EMR) implementation as the RMH EMR Director, implemented in 2020, and served as Executive Sponsor for Victoria’s first Digital Coordination Centre, launched in 2023.
Samantha is a graduate of the Chief Quality Officer development programme through the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) and holds certification in Artificial Intelligence in Health Care: From Strategies to Implementation from Harvard Medical School.
