During August, the sitting area in our Emergency Department (ED) waiting room will undergo renovations.
While this is happening, it might look a little different to what you’re used to and you may hear some loud noises.
Rest assured our ED will remain open and accessible at all times, with our Emergency staff available to look after you and ensure you receive the care you need.
There is limited space in the waiting room at the moment, so please consider who you need to bring with you for support while you receive care.
And as always, please be patient and respect our staff.
If you or another person needs urgent, life-threatening medical care, call Triple Zero (000) immediately and ask for an ambulance.
Alternatives to the Emergency Department
If you have a non-life threatening emergency, care is also available through the Victorian Virtual Emergency Department and Urgent Care Clinics in Carlton and Moonee Ponds.
See Where to go instead of Emergency and Non-emergency online and telephone services for other ways to find care.
