The RMH is a major centre for arrhythmia treatment, research and training including complex electrophysiology procedures and atrial fibrillation ablation, and complex 3D mapping.

We manage the following clinical initiatives:

  • Major adult congenital cardiac service run conjointly with The Royal Children's Hospital
  • Combined cardiac pregnancy service with The Royal Women's Hospital
  • Cardiac genetics service run in combination with Genetic Medicine
  • Acute myocardial infarction service with direct angioplasty and management of acute coronary syndrome
  • Large structural cardiac intervention program including transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) and adult congenital program
