We provide treatment, care and support for people with medical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower limbs.
Key points
- We provide assessment, treatment and education regimes for people with foot, ankle or lower limb problems
- We offer wound management, biomechanical evaluation and gait assessment
- We provide neurovascular assessment and screening of patients with diabetes
What we do
We provide care, develop management plans and educate patients with:
- Diabetes-related foot problems
- Wounds, including ulcers, needing wound dressings and consultations
- Wounds that need offloading or padding to relieve pressure
The Podiatry service helps prevent foot and lower limb amputations by identifying patients at high risk, and implementing appropriate management plans.
Post amputation or injury, the Podiatry service enhances wound healing, facilitates appropriate discharge and prevents readmission.
