We provide expert diagnostic review and multidisciplinary management planning for adults with complex vascular anomalies.
This clinic functions primarily as a one-off tertiary multidisciplinary review service. Ongoing care generally remains with the referring team.

Additional specialties
Depending on the case presented, additional specialty input can be arranged in vascular surgery, ENT/maxillofacial surgery, pain services, oncology, gastroenterology, general medicine, infectious diseases, paediatrics and others as required.
Who to refer
- Diagnostic uncertainty
- Complex or progressive disease
- Symptomatic lesions (pain, bleeding, thrombosis, functional impairment)
- Consideration of interventional, surgical, or systemic therapy
- Suspected genetic or syndromic vascular anomaly
Not suitable for this service
- Patients already worked up and not requiring multidisciplinary input
- Routine dermatology or surgical referrals
- Paediatric vascular anomalies
Multidisciplinary discussion
Referring clinicians are expected to present cases at the virtual multidisciplinary (MDT) prior to clinic to allow targeted discussion and identification of any further required investigations and best management options.
Please indicate in your referral if you are not available and a proxy will attend in your place.

Include in your referral:
- All minimum referral information
- Clinical summary – onset, progression, symptoms, diagnosis and treatments (including site, practitioner, outcomes or complications)
- Imaging – include date, site, findings, location or reference, and attach any available images and reports
- Pathology – include date, laboratory, accession number
- Genetics – genes, variants, method, date, laboratory, and attach any available reports
- Laboratory tests – include and attach results, date, laboratory
- Clinical photographs – encouraged, include dates
- Referrer availability for virtual MDT discussion – indicate if referrer can present case or a proxy will attend instead
How to refer
We accept GP and specialist referrals:
- Use the RMH referral form (PDF) or a template from your own system
- Fax your completed referral to Specialist Clinics (Outpatients) on (03) 9342 4234
We do not accept email referrals.
