What we do
We perform a range of cardiac procedures to diagnose and treat people with cardiovascular disease.
Our state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheter Laboratory (cath lab) operates 24 hours, 7 days a week for the urgent management of acute coronary syndromes.
Our cardiologists have the expertise to perform a diverse range of coronary procedures and interventions, and are involved in diagnostic workup, multidisciplinary care, procedures, and post procedural follow-up
Clinic availability
Coronary follow-up clinic operates on Tuesday mornings. We offer appointments via Telehealth or face-to-face.
Who can use our service
We accept:
- specialist referrals for patients who require coronary angiography or intervention
- GP or specialist referrals for the work-up of individuals who may require a cardiac intervention, including urgent assessment for chest pain
Please note that we do not see patients with stable coronary disease, including those with coronary calcification, or prior coronary intervention or coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) who do not have symptoms, unless they have other issues requiring specialist input.

- any cardiac investigation results available (ECG, Holter, TTE, stress TTE, coronary angiography, cardiac MRI)
- renal function, HbAIC, Lipid profile, FBE, NT-proBNP
- detailed medication list
How to refer
We accept GP and specialist referrals:
- Use the RMH referral form (PDF) or a template from your own system
- Fax your completed referral to Specialist Clinics (Outpatients) on (03) 9342 4234
We do not accept email referrals.

Parkville Connect is a secure web-based portal providing GPs, specialists and other health professionals with information in the Parkville electronic medical record (EMR).
