  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Carbohydrate counting
  • Healthy eating to optimise weight or blood glucose control

Diabetes clinical nutrition services are available to RMH inpatients. Dietitians also attend each of the Specialist Clinics (Outpatients) diabetes clinics.

Metabolic diseases

Metabolic Diseases is our statewide referral service for Victorian and Tasmanian adults diagnosed with, or suspected of an inborn error of metabolism.

Individualised clinical nutrition services are provided by expert dietitians for adults with inborn errors of metabolism, both in the outpatient and the acute hospital management setting.

Bariatric medicine

Our bariatric medicine service is available to overweight individuals who are seeking counselling and dietary advice.

Appointments are held in the Bariatric Nutrition Clinic. A dietitian is available to provide therapeutic dietary advice tailored to meet the nutritional requirements of individual.
