We review people with stroke and cerebrovascular disease, including ischaemic stroke, intracerebral haemorrhage, cerebral venous sinus thrombosis and vasculopathies including arterial dissection, Moya Moya disease and CADASIL.

Who can use our service

Most patients seen in the clinic will be followed up after having been treated by the RMH inpatient stroke service.

This clinic is suitable for:

  • Adults (aged 18 years or over) with exception on a case-by-case basis
  • Patients with a diagnosis of stroke or cerebrovascular disease

This clinic is not suitable for: 

  • Patients whose primary problem is a vascular malformation, including aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations 
  • Patients with a suspected Transient Ischaemic Attack (TIA) (these patients are best managed in our TIA Rapid Access Clinic)
