An agreement is required where one or more external parties will work with the Royal Melbourne Hospital
What do I do when:
RMH staff need to refer to Contracts page in RMH Sharepoint for general advice approaching agreements.
In circumstances where you have been given a contract by an external party, you must ensure you have submitted a governance application (SSA) or, where applicable, an amendment for the proposed research activities described in the contract.
If the contract provided is not related to an SSA, send the contract to the RMH Research Contracts Office, along with detailed description of the activity and noting whether the activity:
- has been ethically approved; or
- requires ethics at all (this may apply in some instances where RMH is only providing a service)
Any changes to executed contracts will need to be submitted as an amendment for review.
For collaborations where the RMH initiates the project, contact the Sponsor Office. Concurrently, the Governance Office will examine your proposed relevant contracts as part of the SSA review.
For clinical trials involving medicines, biologicals and/or devices, follow the instructions below in Section 5a. Drug and/or Device Clinical Trial Documentation.
