The Royal Melbourne Hospital is based in the heart of the world-leading Melbourne Biomedical Precinct.

This Precinct has established itself as a major global research and teaching powerhouse, with more than 30 health services, research and academic partners all sharing a formidable history of ground-breaking medical discoveries and developments.

Partners within the Precinct include the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, the University of Melbourne, the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health, the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, the Royal Women's Hospital, the Royal Children's Hospital and CSL Ltd - which are all within a three kilometre radius. 

The strength of these partners, the relationships and existing collaborations, along with the proximity means that the Precinct has the ability to rival the top global biomedical Precincts.
