Selection process

Your aptitude for mental health nursing is often as much about your attitude as it is about the knowledge and skills you learn as an undergraduate nurse. Your application will be assessed on your academic results, clinical assessment tools and experience.

We conduct our own personalised online interviews with the candidates. The aim of the interview is to get to know you better, as well as to give you an opportunity to ask questions about the program.

Shortlisted candidates will be expected to make themselves available for an interview.

We request referee checks from the referees you nominate on your application form.

For more information, contact the Graduate Mental Health Nurse Coordinators at the Mental Health Nursing Workforce Skills Development Unit at gmhnp@mh.org.au or call (03) 8387 2731.
