Our Mental Health Training & Development Unit (MHTDU) helps to develop our workforce of mental health clinical staff.

We offer workshops and programs for mental health practitioners of all disciplines. We advocate for both the Consumer and Carer workforce to participate in planning and delivering training.

Who can attend our workshops?

Our professional development workshops are free for clinicians who work in:

  • Inner West Area Mental Health
  • North West Area Mental Health
  • Northern Area Mental Health
  • Mid West Area Mental Health
  • Orygen
  • Aged Persons Mental Health Progams managed within the RMH, Northern Health and Western Health

Clinicians from other state-funded Department of Health Area Mental Health Services (Adult & CAMHS) and from relevant professional backgrounds – including service sector staff such as private clinicians, mental health community support services and NGOs – can attend for a fee.
