We offer opportunities for graduate mental health nurses working for the RMH mental health services to complete a postgraduate qualification.

Through the Postgraduate Mental Health Nurse Program, graduate nurses working with us can complete a Graduate Diploma of Advanced Nursing Practice, Mental Health in conjunction with our affiliate universities:

Aims of the program

The aim of the UoM, ACU or RMIT Graduate Diploma programs is to provide nursing students with the theoretical knowledge and skills to practice in their specialty area at an advanced beginner level.

Subjects are delivered using a combination of teaching methods, including:

  • Lectures
  • Tutorials
  • Clinical simulation
  • Online learning
  • Worksheets

Employment requirements

You must be employed with us to undertake our Postgraduate Mental Health Nurse Program.

All positions are full-time and employment conditions are based on the Nurses (Victorian Public Health Sector) Award.
