Centralised recruitment at the RMH
The Royal Melbourne Hospital Centralised Recruitment team (CRT) are a dedicated resource for managing all nursing recruitment requirements and support to the wards for recruitment of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Ward Clerks or Health Assistants.
Our team work with each ward to determine the requirement for their position before assisting with the hiring lifecycle from creating the recruitment requisition to completing the contract for the successful applicant.
The CRT team work in line with the Royal Melbourne Hospital's values and ensure all new employees demonstrate a high standard of nursing care.

Microsoft Teams
CRT use Microsoft Teams to track the applicant recruitment process to ensure our team are across each applicant no matter who is managing them.
In addition, Microsoft Teams has the functionality for interviewing. Since changing to this platform we have seen fewer issues with applicants logging in to connect to interview and less technical difficulties once they have joined.
Xref
CRT are utilising Xref as our external reference check provider. This means the applicant completes their referee contact details including their work email address and phone number via the platform. A link will then be submitted to the referee to complete the reference check at a time that suits them.
