Health providers seeking patient information for continuing care may be able to access patient information via My Health Record, Health Hub, or by contacting Health Information Services.

Patient information may be available through My Health Record or Health Hub.

If not, you may request patient information from the Health Information Services department at the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH).

Release of patient information

Health providers can request patient information directly from Health information Services if it is required for ongoing care.

Pathology results

GPs can receive results electronically using HealthLink or web-based AUSCARE

My Health Record

The RMH is connected to the government's My Health Record website and app and uploads inpatient discharge summaries, pathology and radiology results for all RMH patients.

This does not replace our correspondence to GPs. Letters and discharge summaries are still sent to GPs by Argus Secure Messaging and fax.

Secure messaging & faxing

The RMH sends most correspondence by Argus Secure Messaging including inpatient and Emergency Department discharge summaries and Specialist Clinics (Outpatients) letters. If your practice does not use Argus Secure Messaging, this correspondence is sent by fax.

If your practice would like to receive correspondence from the RMH electronically, you need to subscribe to Argus Secure Messaging.

Not your patient? Changed your practice details?

If you receive correspondence for a patient that does not attend your practice, let us know either by email or fax to GP Liaison.

If any details for your practice change (for example, phone, fax, address or providers), contact the National Health Services Directory (NHSD) to update your details.

Health Hub

Health Hub is a secure mobile and web application that connects patients with their hospital information from home or on the go.

Patients using Health Hub can see and manage information about their treatment and care at the RMH and other hospitals in the Parkville Precinct.

Access your information

See upcoming appointments, medications, information about your recent hospital visits, some test results, allergies and details of your existing problems and diagnoses. You may also be able to view some doctors’ notes, change or cancel appointments.
