Hotels, motels and apartments

Do you need to stay at a hotel, motel or apartment while a loved one is in hospital or while you are receiving treatment?

No smoking

Smoking and vaping is not permitted on the grounds of, and within 4 metres of any Victorian hospital and registered community health centres.

Visitors and visiting hours

We welcome visitors. They improve a patient’s recovery and the communication between patients, families and staff.

Who pays for our services

The Royal Melbourne Hospital is part of Australia's public health care system and offers hospital care to any Australian resident under Medicare arrangements.
