Scrub Choir Plus: "What a Wonderful World/Stand by Me"
Scrub Sessions are virtual interviews and unplugged music jams with the special guests lead by the RMH Scrub Choir head, Dr Emma O’Brien OAM. Emma is talking to musicians and other personalities about their inspirations, their top tips for wellbeing, their high and lows, and of course their music.
Each episode has in-depth interviews and unique unplugged songs. We hope they broaden our message of kindness to our community, featuring music and wellbeing inspiration, tips and special performances.

Director of the RMH Music Therapy Dr Emma O'Brien OAM spoke to Aria Award-winning harpist and Director of Programming at Melbourne Recital Centre Marshall McGuire on the meaning of music in our lives during the COVID-19 pandemic. Marshall then performs a rendition of "The Rainbow Connection," accompanied by Dr Emma and Olivia O'Brien.
Sophie Payten (aka Gordi) joins Dr Emma and shares her unique experiences as an established Australian singer songwriter and recently qualified Medical Doctor working on the Frontline. She generously talks about her ups and downs and how she re-balances her emotional ‘seesaw’. Sophie then sings with Emma a beautiful cover of Paul Kelly’s, ‘When I first met your Ma’ a love song to his children’s mother and to Melbourne.
Head of Music Therapy Dr Emma O'Brien OAM and special guests, Australian country pop band 'Darlinghurst' discuss songwriting and their music journey thus far in addition to maintaining a positive approach during lockdown.
Sadako discusses with Dr Emma her own personal journey in the music industry, health and family values followed by an exclusive acoustic performance of her new single, ‘Happiness’.
