We know restricted visiting hours have been hard on friends and families and we thank you for your patience and understanding. We have made the following changes effective Saturday 23 April.

Our COVID-19 screening clinic at 300 Grattan St will close on Monday 27 September 2021. Find out where to get tested. 

The Royal Melbourne Hospital's vaccination centre at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre closed in December, but there are plenty of ways to get a COVID-19 vaccine - including your local GP, pharmacist or a state-run vaccination hub. 

As part of our response to COVID-19 we have made some changes to our outpatient appointments. This includes advice about people who are currently in quarantine and still require medical care including outpatient and imaging appointments.

We have compiled a number of answers about what COVID-19 is, visiting the hospital and how to reduce the spread within the community.

Under the current Department of Health guidelines, all patients require COVID-19 screening 72 hours before elective surgery and some procedures. This will help ensure staff have the right protocols in place to care for you safely.
